Nihonbare-class Utility Landing Craft

The Nihonbare-class utility landing craft in service in the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. The Nihonbare-class, along with the Youkou-class LSVs and Akane-class landing vessels, will be deployed as part of the JSDF Maritime Transport Group, a joint unit. Its transport capacity is several hundred tons, and it is said to be capable of carrying a dozen or so vehicles or a dozen or so 20-foot containers.
