Mackensen-class Guided Missile Destroyer

The Mackensen-class Guided Missile Destroyer is a recently developed class of stealth surface combatant utilitzed by the Bundesmarine. The first ship of the class entered service in 2005. There are six destroyers in this class. The Mackensen-class comparable in size to the JMSDF's Atago-class and the Royal Navy's Daring-class destroyers currently. The Mackensen-class is one of the largest destroyers to have stealth characteristics. They are named after World War I-era battlecruisers.
