HMCS Alberta (DDG-287)
From Canadian Power Wiki
HMCS Alberta (DDG-287), formerly IIS Anoshirvan and later USS Chandler (DDG-996), was a Kidd-class destroyer in service in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1982 onwards. It was the first ship to be named after the Canadian province of Alberta. In the early 2010s, it was renamed Sable Island after the Ontario-class air defense destroyer Alberta entered service in the early 2010s.
