The Type 43 Destroyer (also known as the Admiral-class) is a class of destroyer in the Royal Navy. The Type 43s were a follow on from the Type 42s but armed with the Sea Dart Mk.II missile. The primary role of the Type 43 was to protect a task force from air-launched missile attack. In the mid-2000s, the Type 43 destroyers would undergo an extensive midlife refit allowing them to serve into the 2030s.

The Type 43 destroyers will be replaced by the Type 83 destroyers starting in the 2030s.
