The NAeL Álvaro Alberto (SN10) is Brazil's first nuclear submarine. It was launched in November 2024 and commissioned into the Brazilian Navy in May 2026. During the 2030 RIMPAC, the Álvaro Alberto, Brazil's first home-built nuclear sub, proved to be a good enough platform to track Russian cruise missile sub Irkutsk, much to the later consternation of the Russians and proud gloating by the Brazilians.
