INS Vishal (R36)

The INS Vishal (R36) is India's first nuclear powered aircraft carrier. The Vishal is planned to be 980 feet (298.7 meters) in length, displace 65,000 tons, and carry 65 fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. It will also be India's first aircraft carrier built in a CATOBAR (Catapult Assisted Take-Off But Arrested Recovery or Catapult Assisted Take-Off Barrier Arrested Recovery) configuration.
