CFB Nanisivik

CFB Nanisivik is a Canadian Forces naval facility on Baffin Island, Nunavut. The base was built at the former lead-zinc mine site near the former company town of Nanisivik. Detailed planning for the project began in August 2007, with environmental studies and assessments will be being carried out in the summer of 2008. Construction began in 2010 and was completed in mid 2016.

CFB Nanisivik has a deepwater ports, one converted from the original jetty that supported the former mine and new docking and refueling facilities. The nearby Nanisivik Airport was also converted for military use as well.
