The CCGS Robert Stanfield was a Polar 8 class Icebreaker in the Canadian Coast Guard in the 21st century. Originally, the Robert Stanfield was going to be named the Roald Amundsen, however with Robert Stanfield's death on March 22, 2005, the second Polar 8 icebreaker's name was changed to honor Canada's 16th Prime Minister. In May 2011, the Robert Stanfield and John G. Diefenbaker would lead the Warrior battlegroup through the Northwest Passage during its trip from CFB Esquimalt to the drydock facilities at Saint John Shipbuilding in Saint John, New Brunswick.

In July 2018, the Robert Stanfield would escort a USN battlegroup centered around the battleship USS Iowa across the Northwest Passage as it transited between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
